Young Ambassador Programme
The BulliesOut Young Ambassador Programme was launched today.
This programme is designed to attract a dynamic group of young people who have an interest not only in supporting BulliesOut but in improving their community.
The Young Ambassador’s Programme will equip young people with the confidence and skills to speak out against bullying so the voice of the youth of today is heard by everyone. By creating Anti-Bullying Ambassadors, we will build a strong youth voice against bullying and will significantly boost young people’s development.
In an effort to engage youth in philanthropy, our Young Ambassador Programme was developed to build awareness amongst young people of the BulliesOut charity and its work. Through participation in this programme, young people learn leadership skills, how a non-profit organisation works and how to develop, promote and implement their ideas.
Online Mentors Rota
In response to numerous requests we have published a rota of when certain mentors are available online. Click on the link below to see the rota.
Help us fill these roles
BulliesOut is now entering a crucial period where sustainable growth is critical. To enable us to meet the ever increasing demand for our services, a major priority is to develop the management structure of the charity further.
Please find below a link to a description of the roles we are seeking to fill. If you are interested in any, please contact us. If they are not for you, please can you circulate to your contacts.
BulliesOut – Our Brand New Website
Back in 2006 when BulliesOut was established, little did we anticipate such a huge response. Our main resource was our Online Mentors – a tremendous team of people who provide valuable help and support through our forum to those who are being bullied. However, within a few months we realised just how much our help and support was needed – not just online, but to schools, youth settings and parents too.
Over the past 5 years, we have developed a number of innovative, interactive projects and the demand for these continually increases. Of course, with these demands come challenges. We do not have any salaried staff and have a very challenging bank balance but the commitment and dedication shown by our small team of amazing volunteers (both past and present) ensures the work is completed to the highest standard.
Thanks to the generosity of some of our sponsors (details below), we have been able to create and develop a new website that not only matches our new branding, but also enables us to add e-learning packages – something that is valuable to those who are busy/housebound.
Our new website was launched on 16th November 2011 and has received fantastic feedback and we really hope you like it as much as we do! We have a lot more planned for this website so if you have any ideas/suggestions, we would love to hear from you. (can a small form be added here with a hyperlink?)
We hope you find it easy to use and find the information and help you need.

Bullies Out on TV
We made it on to TV!

Cardiff based anti-bullying charity, BulliesOut, appear on Holding Out for a Hero ITV Sunday 9th Oct 2011
Holding Out for a Hero is a brand new ITV prime time game show, hosted by Gethin Jones, and on Sunday 9th Oct, Linda James, CEO of Cardiff based anti-bullying charity, BulliesOut took centre stage!
Holding Out for a Hero is a game show with a twist; contestants don’t play to win themselves a prize, they play to win a potentially life changing sum of money for their hero’s cause.
Three contestants play, each hoping they have the right combination of skill, luck and strategy to win tens of thousands of pounds.
Unlike on any other quiz show, these contestants are not playing for greed but to make someone else’s dream come true. Whatever money they win, they will be handing over to their hero – a deserving person with an amazing story who has no idea someone has decided to play for them.
And Linda James, CEO of BulliesOut is one such hero. A fact recognised by Marina Lois, who applied to become a contestant on Holding out for Hero in order to boost the charity’s profile and win some much needed funds.
Marina is a good friend of Linda’s who has been extremely supportive of BulliesOut from day one and in April this year became a Trustee of the charity.
Marina went on to win a fantastic £3000 for BulliesOut.
